Jared was elected in 2017 as the Member of Parliament for Sheffield Hallam with a majority of 2125. Born and bred in Sheffield Jared has the people of Sheffield at the core of everything he does. Jared went to Bradfield School, and Tapton School in Sheffield Hallam. He then went on to gain a 1st Class Honours degree from Staffordshire University in Journalism.
Jared was born with cerebral palsy hemiparesis, and has championed disabled peoples rights throughout his life. He is one of only five disabled Members in the House of Commons. Prior to being elected, Jared has been involved in his local community as Chairman of a Sheffield disability information service, a trustee of a Sheffield disability charity for 12 years, and a School Governor of a Sheffield school.
Since being elected Jared has got to work listening to constituents about their issues and representing them in Parliament.
