Jared met up with his constituent Steph Grant at the Acquired Brain Injury Reception.

The All Party Parliamentary Group for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) hosted a reception in Westminster for ABI survivors and their MPs on the 9th May 2018. The event raised awareness of ABI and the desperate need for improved neuro rehabilitation services across the UK.

Jared said ‘I was very pleased to meet Steph at the reception hosted by the APPG. It meant a lot to hear the stories of Steph, and others who also have acquired brain injuries. The barriers which they have push through need to be broken down and I will help work to bringing them down. I will work with the APPG to do my part in helping to remove the barriers.’

The APPG on ABI aims to do the following:

  • Raise awareness of ABI and seek improvements in support and services for people directly affected by ABI and also their families and carers
  • Provide a voice for those who are not always heard by Ministers and MPs
  • Be the main forum for ABI in Parliament, raising key issues across health, social care and welfare which all affect people living with ABI in the UK
